Janine Knap, also known as the Little Critter (her singing name), is one busy lady in the NZ music scene, working with a couple of bands and supporting a number of charities.

She's probably most well-known for her work with Bullfrog Rata and the Undergators, a world-famous in NZ blues band that can be heard playing at the iconic Celtic Inn in Palmerston North.

Bullfrog is a legend in the blues music scene, starting out from humble busking beginnings to today, where he easily draws a crowd of enthusiastic blues music fans. He lives and breathes blues music, having already released several albums. For him it's all about the feeling, "something about it just hits the spot."

Janine has played with Bullfrog Rata, Tony Faulkner & Ted Frickleton - THE TROUBLE MAKERS for over 18 years now, playing all over the country, at blues clubs throughout NZ including Rotorua, Hamilton, Wellington, Waikanae, Auckland Blenheim, Raglan, Tahora, Stratford and Whanganui. And we can't forget Waimarama beach, Janine's hang out for New Year’s Eve for the last eleven years!

Janine and the talented blues musicians are a drawcard at local events such as blues festivals and jazz concerts, where her engaging style and hi-fidelity rock anthems result in a satisfied audience, eager for more. But it's not just about the music. Janine is a keen support of the Starship Hospital and Relay for Life, and helps out with a lot of community fundraising efforts. So if you have a good cause you're promoting then let her know - who knows she could be playing at your next event!
